An experience working during the summer in a location unlike any other. Applications are now being accepted for the 2024 CERN OpenLab Summer Student Programme in Switzerland. Candidates of all nationalities are eligible to apply for the OpenLab summer student programme. The programme runs from June to August of 2024 for nine weeks. Students enrolled in CERN Openlab will work on sophisticated IT projects and attend a series of IT courses designed just for them by CERN and other institute professionals.Additionally, OpenLab participants will be able to attend the major lectures of the CERN Summer Student Programme in 2024.

CERN Advantages
CERN will supply:
- A nine-week association contract to collaborate on an advanced IT project.
- A daily subsistence allowance of 92 CHF (net of tax) to help with lodging and food expenses while in Geneva.
- At the conclusion of your stay, you will receive a travel allowance to assist with the cost of your return travel to Geneva.
- Full-scope Health Insurance.
- help in locating lodging close to or on the CERN campus.

Qualification Standards
- All nationalities are welcome to apply.
- You have a strong computing background and are pursuing a bachelor's or master's degree.
- You will have finished at least six semesters by the summer of 2024.
- Throughout your time at CERN, you will continue to be enrolled as a student.
- You may also apply if you plan to graduate in May of 2024, during the European summer.
- Both French and English are languages you speak fluently.
- Note: There is no need for an English proficiency test.
Documents that must be uploaded
Every document needs to have the proper labelling. (such as a "CV," "Letter of Motivation," "Academic Transcript," etc.) and in PDF format.
- Resume
- Most current transcript of studies
- Reference letter (at least 1), preferably 2.
- In the application fields labelled "Education" and "Experience," be as detailed as you can be.
